How do I create a playdate?

Tap the Create Playdate button, select the date and time, choose or add a venue, pick which of your children's friends to invite, and send the invitation. Invited parents will receive a notification and can RSVP directly in the app.

Can I add a playdate to my calendar?

Yes! Skwaddy generates calendar files (.ics) that you can add directly to your phone's calendar app - Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook.

What is Skwaddy Plus?

Skwaddy Plus unlocks the full Skwaddy experience - unlimited playdates, unlimited parties, advanced RSVP management, Save the Date invitations, and all future premium features. It's built for families who want to make the most of every moment together.

How do I upgrade?

Go to Settings → Skwaddy Plus in the app and choose your preferred plan. Payment is processed securely through the App Store.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. To cancel, go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone, find Skwaddy Plus, and tap Cancel Subscription. Your Plus access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their App Store refund policy. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. If you have questions, contact us and we'll do our best to help.

Connect safely

Skwaddy is built with privacy at its core. Children's profiles display first names and surname initials only. Connections happen through secure QR codes or invite links - never through public search. Your family's information stays protected.

What information is visible to other parents?

Only your first name and surname initial are displayed. Your phone number, email, and other personal details are never shared with other users. Children's profiles show only their first name and surname initial.

Is my data safe?

Absolutely. Skwaddy is built with security and privacy by design. Your data is protected using industry-standard security controls at every layer. We comply with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). We never sell your data. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.

How do I remove a connection?

Go to your connections list, select the connection you wish to remove, and tap Remove Connection. This will also remove any child friendship pairings associated with that connection.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account at any time in two ways:

• In the app: go to Profile → Delete Account
• By emailing support@skwaddy.com

Who can use Skwaddy?

Skwaddy is designed for parents and legal guardians aged 18 and older. Children do not have their own accounts - parents manage dependent profiles on their behalf.

How do I connect with another parent?

You can connect by scanning their QR code in person, sharing a secure deep link, or searching by phone number. Once a connection request is accepted, you can pair your children as friends and start organising activities together.

Does my child need an account?

No. Skwaddy accounts are for adults only. Children do not interact with the app directly - you manage everything on their behalf.

How do I report inappropriate behaviour?

If you encounter any concerning behaviour, please contact our support team immediately. We take the safety of families on our platform very seriously and will investigate all reports promptly.

I'm not receiving notifications

Check that notifications are enabled for Skwaddy in your iPhone's Settings → Notifications → Skwaddy. If notifications are enabled but still not arriving, try signing out and back in to refresh your device token. If the issue persists, contact us.

The app isn't working correctly

Try closing and reopening the app. Ensure you have a stable internet connection and that you're running the latest version from the App Store. If the problem continues, please email our support team with a description of the issue and your device model - we'll get it sorted.

A guest says they didn't receive their invitation

Check that you entered the correct phone number or email for the guest. You can resend the invitation from the guest list within the event. Guests can also RSVP via the shareable link - tap Share event from the event dashboard to copy or send it directly.

I can't sign in to my account

Make sure you're using the correct phone number. If you're still locked out, contact support and we'll help you regain access.
